Wolseley and Daikin deal on heat pumps

Helping local authorities and housing associations to cut carbon is the aim of a new partnership between air conditioning manufacturer Daikin and building product supplier Wolseley.

During the three year contract, which started in April, Daikin UK will supply Altherma air source heat pumps for the Energy4Life renewables package developed by Wolseley. The package is designed for social housing providers considering retrofit schemes.

The partnership will see Daikin UK and Wolseley work together on contractor suitability, training, project planning, equipment spares and logistics.

Scott Dorrall, new business development director for Daikin UK, said: “We believe Energy4Life is a pioneering arrangement that will provide the public sector with a truly cost-effective and sustainable solution that is a major step towards the zero carbon goal.”
