Warmafloor snapped up by Wavin

Plastic pipe systems and solutions provider Wavin has acquired Warmafloor, a UK-based provider of underfloor heating systems for an undisclosed sum.

Warmafloor will continue to operate as a separate entity within Wavin UK, keeping the its brand name, and existing management team.

The firm employs 56 people and had a turnover of EUR 9 million in 2007. With a focus on the non-residential market, Warmafloor includes the British Museum in London and the Airbus factory in North Wales among its clients.

Wavin CEO Philip Houben said: “The surface heating and cooling market is of growing importance to Wavin. This segment benefits from an increased demand for energy efficient solutions in buildings. Warmafloor enhances our current offering in underfloor heating systems in the non-residential market in the UK, where we already have a stake in the residential market.”
