Ventilation firm reaches semi final

EnviroVent is one of four companies selected to compete for the title National Green Leader in Business (medium-sized) as part of the 2008 Barclays Commercial Bank Green Leaders in Business Awards.

The company was selected ahead of hundreds of other green businesses that applied. EnviroVent is battling it out to be named as one of 12 national finalists, who will be invited to present to an expert judging panel, chaired by leading environmentalist Tom Burke, including The Carbon Trust, Bloomberg, and the WWF, who will decide the winners.

Barclays Commercial Bank marketing director, Richard French, said: “We hope the success of EnviroVent will inspire other medium-sized companies to find innovative ways of doing business that will build a new economy which is both realistic and sustainable”.

The Awards recognise companies that use pioneering processes or new sustainable technology, products or services to help beat climate change and boost profits.

Green Leaders in Business was open to all UK and Irish companies, and has three categories – companies with a turnover below £1 million; between £1m and £20m; and above £20m.
