Vaillant Group has hit an annual production record by manufacturing more than 400,000 domestic heating boilers this year at its Belper site in Derbyshire.
On Thursday (December 18th) the site made its 400,000th boiler of the year
Jim Moore, Valliant’s UK country manager, said: “It is a testimony to the robustness of Vaillant Group brands that our boilers are clearly in more demand than ever before.
“This milestone, which is a result of years of investment into research and innovation is great news for the Group, as well for local jobs and the region’s economy.”
The Belper manufacturing site manufactures domestic boilers for both the UK and European export markets.
Strong boiler demand throughout 2008
Marc Dörpinghaus, Plant Director, said 2008 had started off with strong demand for Vaillant products with a further spike in the autumn.
He said: “After three months we had produced over 100,000 boilers. October was another record month, with over 47,000 boilers built in Belper.
“We have a very strong relationship with our customers, so every order was welcome and an added motivation to beat our production target. 2008 has been a significant year for us – so thank you to all our customers and staff!'
