Top Graduates could win trip to Chicago

The next H&V News Building Services Graduate of the Year winner will win a trip to the ASHRAE Meeting in Chicago next January.

Entries are now invited for the annual award, sponsored by Denco, which will be presented at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in London on October 9.

The five shortlisted finalists will be invited to give a presentation to invited guests and a judging panel, which includes the current ASHRAE and CIBSE presidents, in the IMechE’s main auditorium.

Universities, colleges and employers are invited to put forward engineers who have graduated within the past two years and who they feel would make successful ambassadors for the UK industry at this major international conference in the US.

The event is organised by the CIBSE/ASHRAE Group, whose chairman Tim Dwyer is a long-time supporter of the award: “The standard of entries was extremely high last year,” Professor Dwyer told H&V News.

“I, along with the rest of the judging panel, am looking forward to seeing the cream of the UK building services engineering profession in action again in October – they always give us great hope for the future.”
