TAC has today bought the Grant Group and its subsidiary Satchwell Grant for an undisclosed sum.
The Grant Group, based in Northern Ireland, supplies and installs the building management systems used to control a building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
TAC, part of Schneider Electric, is a building automation, security system and energy solution firm.
TAC’s Belfast-based direct sales operation will be merged with Grant Group’s and the combined business will trade as TAC Satchwell Ireland, forming part of TAC’s UK and Ireland business unit.
Derek Duffill (pictured), TAC UK managing director, said: “Acquiring this business enables us to establish a leading market presence in a growing economy, giving us a platform for ambitious growth.
“Not only by continuing to deliver a high quality of projects and support services to our customers, but by expanding the range of services offered, including energy, remote monitoring, security and integration.
Arne Frank, TAC chairman and chief executive officer, said: “This acquisition is aligned with the growth strategy of TAC’s parent company, Schneider Electric, which is to expand beyond power management by offering a complete building management platform with a full suite of integration solutions.”
