Carpenter, the manufacturer of Fireseal, has expanded its sales team to meet increased demand for its world-class acoustic fire-retardant flexible foam.
Philip Mohan joins the division with over 16 years’ experience within the acoustic flexibile foam market and brings a wealth of expert knowledge to the role.
National sales manager Richard Harris said: “Philip is a qualified acoustician and an associate member of the Institute of Acoustics.
“His know-how and expertise will help us to drive the Fireseal business forward and into new markets.”
Ipswich-based Philip is a keen fundraiser, last year raising £2,500 for the East Anglian Children’s Hospice by going to every round of the 2013 season FA Cup. He is also a qualified football coach and trains an U14 team in his local area.
Carpenter Fireseal is a highly modified, flexible, open-celled polyurethane acoustic foam offering excellent sound absorption characteristics while also meeting the test criteria for some of the highest fire resistant testing standards, such as BS476 Pt 6 and Pt 7 Class 0. It has also recently achieved a B-sl, d0 classification under the European Standard EN13501.
As well as being used for heating and ventilation Fireseal is used within the construction industry, where it has been included in a number of high-profile landmarks in the UK and abroad.
