Fan coil monitor is real cause for alarm

Undetected failures of fan coil units are a common problem in heating and ventilation.

Coil units tend to be unmonitored and system failures can go unnoticed for long periods of time. Fans fitted with tachometric output do not necessarily send any fault signal, even when running slow or in reverse.

Ecofit has developed a new double-inlet centrifugal fan for fan coil units featuring a highly efficient EC motor, fitted with a unique alarm output that sends a signal when the fan slows to a set speed threshold. It allows for maintenance to be organised for the fan before it has actually stopped.
