Solihull-based SG Maintenance Services has won a contract worth over £14 million from Sainsbury’s.
SG boasts a 25 year association with the supermarket chain.
“We will be looking after all Sainsbury’s stores from the north east of England to the Midlands,” said SG managing director Terry Smith.
“This includes Bells and Jackson stores as well as J Sainsbury’s convenience stores. The work will include food refrigeration, whereas before we only looked after m&e and heating and ventilating.”
In a further high profile retail contract win, SG will maintain refrigeration for around 70 M&S stores in an area stretching from Peterborough to Milton Keynes and another in an area covering Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
As SG already looks after heating, ventilating and air conditioning for M&S, this will bring the total value of work to over £1m per year.
