Search on for new SummitSkills chair

SummitSkills is searching for a new chair after Simon Bartley’s appointment as chief executive of not-for-profit organisation UKSkills.

Mr Bartley  will be standing down as chair of SummitSkills - the sector skills council for the building services industry - at the end of 2008 with his successor taking office from January 2009.

A SummitSkills spokesman said: “The SummitSkills board has established a small appointments sub-group to oversee the recruitment process with a view to selecting a new chair
by June 2008, allowing ample time for the handover period.”

SummitSkills has just launched the Sector Skills Agreement for the building services industry and is co-ordinating a network of regional and national implementation groups.

Applicants are invited to write, enclosing a CV and covering letter to Anthony Smith, Company Secretary, SummitSkills Ltd, Vega House, Opal Drive, Fox Milne, Milton Keynes, MK15 0DF.
