Samsung announces key role to lead growth

Samsung has appointed Jon Pettitt as its national sales manager for air conditioning.

The company said the key appointment showed its commitment to the UK air conditioning market and expectations for growth in the UK.

A spokesman said: “Despite the current economic conditions, we see massive potential in the UK market both in the immediate and long-term future.

“We are delighted to have secured the services of such an experienced air conditioning specialist to spearhead our ambitious expansion plans.”

Mr Pettitt has huge experience of the air conditioning industry having spent 10 years at York International and a further three years at Johnson Controls after they acquired York.

He held the posts of UK unitary national account manager and UK unitary manager in charge of split systems, air handling units, chillers up to 150kW and rooftops

He helped to launch York’s split systems in 2005 and its VRF offering two years later.
