Richards reassures customers

Managing director of Fujitsu General UK Martin Richards (pictured) has moved to reassure customers and distributors ahead of its merger with Eurofred in October (first reported in H&V News, see July 28 issue). The two companies will form a single sales subsidiary in the UK for Fujitsu air conditioning equipment. The new company will be a 50/50 joint venture and will be called FG Eurofred. It will be based at the current Fujitsu General office at Elstree, Hertfordshire. Mr Richards said: “The new company will operate through direct and distribution sales channels in order to give our customers wider choice and make it easier for them to buy, specify, receive our pre-sales support, install and maintain Fujitsu air conditioning equipment. “One of the main benefits of the merger will be in the creation of a cohesive sales strategy that will allow both distribution and direct sales to work together. “It is important to stress that all of our customers are critical to the success of the new company and we will continue to work closely with them to provide the support that is required to maximise the level of business.”
