Private sector partner sought for £143m central heating maintenance contract

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking private sector partners to form a joint venture, worth up to £143 million, to carry out heating maintenance and repairs across its properties.

The agreement will run for 10 years with a possible extension of up to three years.

Work to be carried out will include normal response repairs, immediate response repairs, empty property repairs, planned repair works, cyclical maintenance and adhoc system replacements.

Five firms will be shortlisted and invited to tender on 28 January 2010.

Contractors have until 30 November to submit pre-qualification questionnaires.
