The recent Cooling Industry Awards event for the air conditioning sector, held at London’s Park Lane Hilton earlier this week, was enthusiastically received by the industry.
Andrew Gaved, RAC magazine editor, introduced the evening with a headline speech, while comedian Alun Cochrane hosted the presentation ceremony to all-round acclaim.
Among those enjoying success on the night was ebm-papst, which won two awards for Refrigeration Product of the Year and Environmental Pioneer of the Year, as well as being highly commended for its Green Tech campaign in the Marketing Campaign of the Year category.
ICS Heat Pump Technology collected the prize for Training Initiative of the Year.
The ICS DeLonghi Partner Installer Programme was hailed by the judging panel as an innovative example of the approach needed by heat pump manufacturers in ensuring that installers have the correct knowledge and training in order to drive the market forward.
“The 2010 awards were a triumph for our industry,” said the organiser, “showing that refrigeration and air conditioning/heat pumps can keep finding ways to push the boundaries of technology in the tightest of economic conditions.”
The event attracted more than 600 attendees, rewarding high quality projects and launches while placing emission-cutting and energy efficiency in the spotlight.
Garry Broadbent of ICS Heat Pump Technology, thanked the judging panel for its efforts in delivering an impartial and balanced decision.
