Poll update: Turnaround in support for Capita

There has been a dramatic turnaround in the online poll on the website asking for your views on Capita’s appointment as preferred bidder for the new gas installers registeration scheme.

At the end of Frdiay support for Capita appeared to be lukewarm, but voting over the weekend has swung the poll in Capita's favour.

On Wednesday the Health and Safety Executive named Capita as the preferred bidder for the scheme with existing operator CORGI only appointed as reserve bidder.

By the end of Friday more than 120 people had cast their vote with 59 per cent of respondents voting ‘No’, 29 per cent voting ‘Yes’ and 12 per cent indicating they didn’t know.

But, by noon on Monday (June 22) the position had dramatically changed with a flood of votes supporting Capita.

More than 350 votes have now been cast with 63 per cent voting 'Yes', 31 per cent voting 'No' and five per cent voting 'Don't know'.
