industry forums launched

When passing a colleague on the stairs at our office earlier this week, we both enquired how things were going and I found myself reeling off a long list of activities in reply.

A quick glance at the news pages in this issue will show some of the topics we’re currently covering at H&V News, with many other activities adding to the mix and keeping us all well out of mischief for the foreseeable future.
Changes to the H&V News Awards (see page 27) and preparations for the H&V News Combating Legionella and Water Treatment conference in September (see page 26) are major areas of concentration for our team, as well as many in the building services industry.
As always, there will be numerous opportunities for the industry to engage with both these events and receive a number of benefits in return.
Further to these events, however, we are also announcing the launch of the H&V News Industry Forums (see page 16), a series of four discussions involving senior industry figures and sponsored by Baxi.
The aim will be to debate specific topics and form a consensus by the end of the debate, to provide the industry with essential information and guidance which will also be shared with government departments and industry bodies where appropriate.
The conversation with my colleague ended with me saying “Never a dull moment!”.
