If cash is king, is energy queen?

While the consensus of opinion from the industry is that the majority of customers are still focusing on price before making a decision to purchase services and equipment.

This seems to be increasingly tempered, however, with the need to conform to legislation and environmental requirements.

The need to address the problem of rising energy bills is another significant factor that will allow both domestic and commercial installers to exploit new business opportunities.

These factors are undoubtedly providing some HVAC professionals with the additional scope many have been eagerly awaiting for some time.

The effect of the recession combined with delays to government incentives have seen many companies reducing in size as business has contracted.

With government cut backs now starting to make themselves felt, there have been more than a few wrinkled brows as company directors ponder the future.

Cash will always be king, of course, and we are still a long way from the heady days when work was plentiful, but the increasing need to reduce energy consumption is now starting to provide the impetus that will deliver better financial results for many this year.

Those contractors and installers who are able to provide practical advice and realistic solutions will increasingly be the ones that see the best results.
