North East based training centre NGST (Natural Gas Services Training) has announced an alliance with JTL a training provider to the building services industry.
The deal will provide gas training provision for all JTL plumbing apprentices in the North East over the next four years.
The announcement was made at celebrations for NGST’s fifth birthday earlier this week, with football legend Peter Beardsley guest of honour.
The alliance between NGST and JTL ensures that apprentices in the North East studying for their NVQ Level 3 will receive ACS gas training and assessment as part of their apprenticeship.
John Harvey, centre manager at NGST explained: “Our alliance with JTL demonstrates a strong commitment in the region to provide apprentices with the highest quality training and assessment.”
Rob Moore, JTL’s north east regional manager, added: “JTL and NGST have worked together for many years now and are both well-established in their fields. We are cementing our relationship by guaranteeing training provision for JTL apprentices through NGST, and in doing so we’re ensuring that our apprentices receive the best gas training in the area.”
The event was also a celebration of outstanding achievement. Peter Beardsley made presentations to JTL apprentice Jane Bell, who is Heating & Ventilating News Apprentice of the Year and Susan Hills, OFTEC oil engineer Trainee of the Year. Both Susan and Jane have attended courses and passed assessments at NGST as part of their training.
