Winners announced at Yorkshire Training Awards

Presentation of this year’s Yorkshire Training Awards took place during the annual ball organised by the Yorkshire Region of the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.

The Yorkshire Training Awards represent a joint initiative involving B&ES and its managing agency subsidiary Building Engineering Services Training (BEST),and were sponsored by manufacturer Pegler Yorkshire.

The presentations were made by B&ES president Bruce Bisset.

The awards went to eight employees of seven companies – all of which are active in Yorkshire – as follows:

Heating and Ventilation Craftsman Award: Elliot Blakely, T Clarke, Leeds.

Heating and Ventilation Craftsman Merit Award: James Moore, Shepherd Engineering Services, York.

Heating and Ventilation Installer Award: Kieran Simon, Mitton Mechanical Services, Bradford.

Service and Maintenance Level 2 Award: Sam Cunnington, Walter Miles Building Services, Leicester.

Electrical Level 3 Award: Paul Walton, Shepherd Engineering Services, York.

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 2 Award: George Walker, ICS Services, West Wickham, Kent.

Building Services Technician Award: Joshua Eason, Interserve Engineering Services, West Bromwich.

Building Services Incorporated Engineer Award: Graham Walters, N G Bailey, Ilkley.

Mr Bisset took the opportunity to congratulate B&ES members in Yorkshire for their: “unwavering commitment to education and training, in spite of the tough times we have all had to cope with in recent years.”
