Winners announced at National Apprenticeship Awards

Entries and winners have been announced at the National Apprenticeship Awards which was held on 18 September 2013.

Blue Flame Heating Solutions have been named as the one of the South West’s best Apprenticeship Employers in the regional final of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2013.

Blue Flame, a heating solutions company based in Penryn specialise in the installation, service and maintenance of Gas, Renewable, Electrical, Oil and Solid Fuel heating systems. They were named the South West Regional Winners in the ‘Nuclear Decommissioning Site Licence Companies’ Award for Medium Employer of the Year.

Blue Flame have been running an apprenticeship programme within the company since 1992. Over the years 25+ apprentices have completed training and gained professional qualifications. Many still work for the company and hold senior roles as managers and technicians, a testament to the quality programmes Blue Flame offer.

Blue Flame director Simon Foxhall commented: “To be recognised regionally by the National Apprenticeship Service is truly a testament to the hard work and dedication all at Blue Flame invest into our apprenticeship programmes. Apprentices are integral to the company and our high quality training ensures that we continue to give a high level of service to all of our customers as we continue to develop exceptional engineers”

The National Apprenticeship Awards celebrate the achievements of the country’s most outstanding Apprenticeship employers and their apprentices.  The awards are organised by the National Apprenticeship Service, who received in excess of 1,600 high quality entrants this year.
