JS Humidifiers has been taken over by Swiss company Walter Meier, which hopes the move will enable it to consolidate its position as a global humidification market leader.
Walter Meier’s foray into the UK market comes after it purchased its distributor in Denmark as it continues to involve itself in important markets across the world.
The company’s CEO Silvan Meier revealed the company’s latest acquisition was the most effective way to establish itself as one of the main players in the British humidification sector.
Mr Meier also revealed that the company will now seek to benefit from the takeover by collaborating with JS Humidifiers on exports, with the west Sussex-based firm particularly successful in exporting to India.
JS Humidifiers, which was established in 1980, is the leading supplier of humidification equipment and systems in Britain. It achieved sales of £8.69 million last year.
Walter Meier confirmed that JS Humidifiers’ 60 employees will be kept on, while its current management team will continue to oversee the day-to-day running of the company.
