Jochen Nutz, currently CFO of Walter Meier Group, has been appointed as Group COO effective July 1 2012.
In a statement the company said: “Jochen Nutz has headed up the Finance & Controlling Corporate Center as CFO since November 2008, and as a Member of Group Management he already has extensive responsibility over operations.
“Based on his outstanding performance, the Board of Directors of Walter Meier has decided to promote Jochen Nutz to Group COO (Chief Operating Officer) effective July 1, 2012.
“As Group COO, Jochen Nutz will have direct managerial responsibility for all four Group Divisions. The Division Managers will start reporting to him as of July 1, 2012.
“The main objectives of his new role will be to implement our strategy, manage day-to-day business (and achieve budget goals) and ensure the continual improvement of operational excellence across all processes.
“Jochen Nutz will continue in his post as CFO alongside his new duties. Silvan G.-R. Meier will still be involved in day-to-day business as Chairman & CEO but with an exclusive focus on selected strategic and structural matters.”
