The Walkie Talkie electrical contract has helped T Clarke secure 50 per cent of the year’s work.
T Clarke said it is heading into 2012 with an £190 million order book after what it said would be a challenging 2011.
Posting a trading update ahead of its preliminary results for the year on 20 March, the firm said trading for the year remains in line with the board’s expectations, “despite continued challenges”.
The firm issued a profit warning this time last year, when revenue increased to £179 million from £175.5m, but pre tax profit fell 21 per cent from £7.3m in 2009 to £5.7m.
T Clarke won the electrical contract for 20 Fenchurch Street - The Walkie Talkie – after securing work on other towers, the Shard, Pinnacle and 100 Bishopsgate.
It said today: “Since the announcement of the group’s interim management statement on 11 November 2011 the forward order book has continued to improve. It now stands at £190m, (£187m November 2011) with over 50 per cent of this year’s requirement secured. “
