Vehicle fleet updated following major investment

Esh Group has acquired 84 new vehicles at a cost of £1.4 million, as part of its programme of updating its van fleet across its four operations.

These include Wilkinson Facilities Services, Lumsden & Carroll Construction, Dunelm Property Services and Stephen Easten Building.

The new vehicles, representing around 45 per cent of Esh Group’s total van fleet, were bought from Arnold Clark, Benfield Motors and North East Truck & Bus.

Esh Group managing director John Davies said the deals represented a significant amount of expenditure for the group.

“We’ve researched this thoroughly and we are projecting savings of up to £150,000 annually in reduced running costs and fuel savings alone,” he said.

“All of the suppliers we’ve chosen are worthy winners of the business; they’ve provided us with excellent support so far and we’re looking forward to working with them going forward.”
