UK’s first Community Energy Fortnight launched

The UK’s first Community Energy Fortnight, an initiative to engage people with the concept of community energy, is taking place from 24 August to 8 September.

The project is being co-ordinated by the Community Energy Coalition, whose members include the Co-operative Group, the National Trust and the Church of England.

Events will be hosted across the UK to help people understand community energy to inspire communities about the benefits of this form of energy generation and deliver a petition to the government calling for greater support for communities that wish to create their own power.
