Treasury slammed over CPS plans

The UK District Energy Association has criticised the Treasury’s proposed Carbon Price Support mechanisms.

The UKDEA says they do not take into account the benefits of gas-fired CHP and the importance of this technology to the UK’s district energy industry.

CHP operators would therefore have to pay the new tax on all input fuels, it states.
