SEC Group chief executive Rudi Klein argues that Brexit will increase longstanding pressures on the UK heating industry to rethink efficiency and how key safety standards are enforced
Despite continued uncertainty over how Brexit will impact trade, regulations and the construction supply should it go ahead as scheduled at the end of this month, the UK HVAC industry must undergo significant change to adapt to a changing global market place.
SEC Group chief executive Rudi Klein has joined H&V News’ for its first podcast to set out several key areas he believes where vital reforms are needed to ensure the UK is not left behind in the global HVAC market.
These concerns, linked to areas such as prompt payment, building safety and enforcement, as well as implementing more innovative and convenient ways to provide building services functions, are identified as longstanding issues that pre-date the UK’s decision to leave the EU. However, the challenges posed by adapting to life outside the EU will make finding effective resolutions even more vital, according to Mr Klein.
