Dave Dossett has retired from his position as executive chairman of industry body BEAMA, which he held for 20 years, amounting to a career of nearly 50 years.
During his distinguished career, Mr Dossett has also held the positions of EIEMA director, as well as director general and chief executive of BEAMA and director of the Installation Sector.
A surprise reception was organised by BEAMA at West Ham United’s Upton Park Ground to honour his achievements, including colleagues, industry figures and his family.
A lifelong support of the club, Mr Dossett was presented with a West Ham ‘Dossett’ shirt signed by the team.
“I’m proud to have been part of BEAMA’s evolution into the successful, lean and influential organisation it is today,” said Mr Dossett.
“It’s been a privilege and pleasure working in this industry and I thank the many colleagues and friends I have made for their friendship and support. It’s a great industry with excellent people - it’s been fun.”
