A Derbyshire renewable energy firm is aiming to take a bigger share of the UK market by forming a partnership with a French company that makes wind turbines, the Derby Telegraph has reported.
Bowler Energy, in Hilton, has teamed up with Vergnet, which manufactures medium-scale turbines.
The partnership has been formed as a result of the growth in demand for wind energy in the UK.
Last year, the UK wind energy market doubled in size, according to a report by RenewableUK, with the small and medium turbine market now worth more than £100 million.
Vergnet has worked with developers worldwide with a track record of more than 830 wind turbines, including 23 in the UK.
Bowler will now work with the French firm to develop its own wind energy projects on behalf of wind energy investors.
