Plumb and Parts Center roadshows increase installer understanding of ErP

Plumb and Parts Center’s Understanding ErP roadshows kicked off at Ricoh Arena on Monday, 20 April.

Plumb and Parts Center have partnered with heating manufacturers to help installers understand the new EU Energy-related Products (ErP) regulations, which come into force on 26 September, and the implications for their businesses.

The free evening events will visit 40 locations across the UK, from Inverness to Ipswich, Belfast and Swansea, finishing in Plymouth on Thursday, 16 July.

Installers will be able to find out which heating products will be affected and what manufacturers have been doing to prepare for these latest regulatory changes.

The roadshow presentations aim to make these changes clear and to show installers how to find the necessary tools and information to help their customers get the most out of the energy-efficient products on the market.

Kevin Allan from Kallan Gas attended Monday’s first roadshow, and said: “It was helpful to get information from Plumb Center and to see how we can pass that on to our customers, and to see how we can help customers understand the labelling, getting the energy-efficiency message across to them. It would be good to have more public awareness of the savings customers might make.”
