Norland critical product director Mark Acton has opened and chaired Data Centres Ireland – a two-day industry conference targeted at corporate data centre users, operators and third-party hosting companies.
The conference, which took place in Dublin and was sold out, helps data centre managers and professionals plan, implement and manage their existing and future data centre environments.
It explores key trends in data centre capacity and ways to improve and manage existing facilities. It covers topical issues such as cloud and virtualisation and the use of technology to drive better efficiency.
Norland has extensive data centre capabilities in Ireland and dedicated teams based in Dublin and Cork from where it manages a number of high-profile accounts for global companies.
Norland Ireland director Tommy Fitzpatrick said: “This is an exciting time for the Irish data centre market with so many global companies choosing Ireland to base their facilities.
“Data Centres Ireland is a wonderful opportunity for all sides of the industry to come together and we look forward to joining the debate on how best to support resilient operations, reduce operating costs and become more energy efficient. ”
