An awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Installer Live exhibition next October, following the change of ownership of the event.
Last year’s purchase of Installer Live by Emap has led to the new timing and location of the event, which will run from 16-19 October at Birmingham’s NEC.
Included among the various attractions will be the Installer Live Awards, formerly known as the Corgi Awards. This will be held at the nearby Hilton Metropole on 18 October.
While the spirit of the awards has been preserved, retaining its focus on rewarding the work of installers in the previously established selection of categories, two additional categories for large and small commercial installers have been added.
Nominations can now be entered online at the awards’ website www.installerliveawards.com.
An expert panel of judges has been lined up, comprising a selection of former Corgi Award winners and industry experts, all of whom have many years experience within the HVAC sector.
Those confirmed as judges to date include The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering’s Blane Judd, APHC’s John Thompson and Pawanadeep Kaur of Northern Gas.
They will be judging alongside fellow industry experts such as HVAC engineer Dave Woodcock, Dodd Group’s Nick Jones and Bernie Witt of Newham Homes.
The gala evening aims to provide a night of celebration and networking opportunities for the HVAC sector, with an attendance of around 700 people.
The evening will be supported by sponsorship from leading suppliers and organisations.
