Businesses championing the government’s Green Deal scheme can now take advantage of a new consumer guide produced by the National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies
Creating an energy efficient and sustainable home is an introductory guide for consumers looking to reduce energy wastage in their home, while understanding what help there might be through government incentives and support schemes available to them.
Installers can use the publication to help their customers’ grasp the concept of energy efficiency measures and renewable technologies available, how they operate, and their suitability and location requirements.
National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies executive director Cathryn Hickey commented: “This is an ideal publication for building services engineers involved with the Green Deal to carry with them at all times, so they can help their customers understand the options available to them.
“Clear diagrams and easily digestible information have been included to make the pros of ‘going green’ clear to the consumer, and engineers seeking more information about the scheme.”
