New energy efficient HQ for BMF

The Builders Merchants Federation will move into its new energy-efficient Coventry head office on 1 March.

The BMF has taken the opportunity to make the offices as energy efficient as possible, with solar PV panels fitted to the roof providing electricity and feeding back to the National Grid, the installation of an A-rated boiler powering the heating system and LED lighting throughout to minimise power consumption.

BMF managing director John Newcomb said: “Moving into new premises presented us with a fantastic opportunity to make the building and our working environment as green and energy-efficient as possible.

“The space is designed to provide a hub for all our activities and we have created an environment that will be pleasant to work in and economical to run.”
