Mitie has hailed its private sector sales pipeline as “bouyant” and will continue to target work in the justice, health, local authority and social housing markets in the public sector.
It pointed to contracts won for RBS (worth £30m) and its £775m integrated facilities management deal with Lloyds Banking Group as recent successes in the private sector.
In the public sector it hailed recent contract wins of £30m for the Scottish government and a deal to provide technical facilities management for the City of London Corporation, for a five-year period with an expected total value of £26m.
It stated: “The financial year has started well, despite a backdrop of continued global economic uncertainty and challenging conditions in certain of our cyclical markets.
“We remain very positive about the range of outsourcing and energy services opportunities across our key markets and continue to see a growing order book and strong pipeline of sales opportunities.
“We are confident that we will continue to build on our long track record of sustainable profitable growth.”
Last month, the company acquired a 51 per cent stake in the independent events and leisure catering companies, Creativevents Limited for an initial £6m.
In June it bought the FM business of Norwegian firm Dalkia Energy & Technical Services AS for around £1.06m.
