Microgeneration skills to play ‘major role’ in future

SummitSkills has provided expert input into the government’s Microgeneration Strategy.

Speaking at the launch on 22 June, SummitSkills head of environmental technologies Nigel Hollett said: “The recommendations outlined in the strategy may define the skills required by those working in the building services engineering industries for years to come, so it was very important that we were able to incorporate the views and experiences of employers as the plans were developed.

“The BSE sector will play a major role in installing microgeneration technology and helping consumers, communities and businesses become energy generators themselves.”
