Property maintenance and utility metering services provider PH Jones has announced it has gained MCS accreditation to carry out solar photovoltaic installations.
This is in addition to the company’s other accreditations for solar thermal hot water systems and heat pump system installation.
The company has seen the popularity of solar photovoltaic energy grow since the Feed-in Tariff was introduced earlier this year, leading to the solar electricity industry predicted to be worth more than €100 billion by 2020.
It states that is now establishing itself as the leading renewable expert in the utilities and property maintenance sector.
Ian Harvey was appointed to the role of renewable energy specialist for the company last month.
His role will be to develop PH Jones’ long-term renewable energy strategy, as well as overseeing renewable technology services and capabilities.
Martin Jones, managing director, said: “The accreditation forms part of our continuing investment in sustainable practices. We are committed to providing leading edge renewable technologies and installations to our clients.”
