Massive response to APHC gas survey

APHC’s Gas Competency survey which has been ongoing for the last four weeks has now closed.

Responses and comments in the APHC survey have been passed to EU Skills, who will formulate these into a document for inclusion within their own report.

Further actions and outcomes will be revealed in due course.

APHC Technical Services Manager Graeme Dryden said: “We are thrilled with the level of response and reaction to our survey.  It shows that employers in the industry are concerned about Gas Competency and want to influence changes to future competency arrangements. The review itself has demonstrated the depth of feeling around the subject of competency with many expressing the view that current arrangements are burdensome and need to change. Within the results we were able to identify comments from several certification bodies and training centres and these have been passed directly to EU Skills.”
