London forum for greener buildings

The BACnet Forum will be held in Prospero House in London on 13 April, hosted by the BACnet Interest Group and supported by CIBSE and the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA).

The event has been organised in answer to a growing demand for information about the capability of BACnet to enable green buildings, system integration and increase the value of properties.

It is also the first independent BACnet event in the UK in ten years and expects to attract interest from both European and American markets.

The organiser states that experts will report on multi vendor references in the UK and from abroad.

The future positioning of the standard in Great Britain will also be an item on the agenda, as will details about the recent updates concerning the ISO standard 16484- 5.

The forum will be accompanied by an exhibition of the latest BACnet products focusing on open communication with the newest BACnet controllers, workstations and services.
