Liverpool contractors wanted by Kier Construction

Local construction sub-contractors and suppliers from the Liverpool area are being offered the chance to meet prospective client, Kier Construction, Northern at a Constructionline event on Thursday 28 February 2013.

Kier is looking for local sub-contractors and suppliers to help them with new-build construction and refurbishment projects in education and other sectors, one of which is on-site and others are due to commence in the next few months.

Employment and training opportunities through the supply chain are central to Kier’s strategy for generating employment locally.

The event, being held at Liverpool UTC & Studio School in Liverpool, between 8.30am and 3.00pm, will see small and medium sized construction companies meet with Kier Construction, Northern to discuss working on these and future local projects.

Constructionline business development manager Claire Makin said: “It can often be difficult for suppliers to get opportunities to work with major contractors in their local community, and so it is great to see Kier Construction, Northern sourcing local subcontractors to help deliver their projects. These events are at the heart of what we do – we want to help suppliers find and secure work and we want to make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies.”
