iVolt has teamed up with Drayson Racing Technologies to help enhance take October’s Energy Solutions 2012.
iVolt will display DRT’s groundbreaking electric racing car at the London Olympia exhibition.
The car – the B12/69EV – is the brainchild of green technology pioneer and former Minister of Science and Innovation Lord Drayson.
It showcases advances such as inductive charging, composite battery power, moveable aerodynamics and electrical regenerative damping, making it one of the most innovative cleantech motorsport projects in the world.
It also boasts more than 850 horsepower and a top speed of around 200 mph.
iVolt is also at the forefront of green technology. Its award-winning voltage optimisation system can reduce electricity bills and CO2 emissions by up to 20 per cent and has been installed by, among others, supermarket giants, railway stations, hotel and restaurant chains, factories and schools.
It is the only voltage optimisation equipment on the market to offer a patented Intelligent Real Time Energy Monitor, which can track the savings voltage optimisation is producing at a site both remotely, and in real time.
Regulars at the Energy Solutions show, which takes place this year from 10-11 October, may remember iVolt displaying another racing car, the Radical SR8, at the 2011 exhibition.
iVolt founder and managing director Manhal Allos, who races a Radical and used iVolt’s technology to monitor his car’s power consumption and offset its carbon emissions, said he was delighted to have teamed up with DRT to showcase their electric prototype racing car at this year’s exhibition.
Manhal said: “As well as the motor racing links, both iVolt and Drayson Racing Technologies share a passion for developing sustainable, green technology and we’re delighted to have the B12/69EV on our stand at Energy Solutions 2012.
“This car is possibly the most exciting leap forward in racing car design in a generation and I think show-goers will be very interested to see it and find out a bit more about the principles shared by both businesses.”
As well as displaying the B12/69EV, the team will be performing live demonstrations of their IRT Energy Monitor over the course of the two days.
