Ireland event combines golf and presentations

A day of golf at the prestigious K Club – also known as the Kildaire Hotel and Golf Club in Ireland, the venue for the 2006 Ryder Cup – was followed by an awards ceremony for installers, hosted by Panasonic.

The company said the Kildaire Hotel as the “ideal venue” for its European PRO Awards presentations at the end of the day.

Those installers receiving trophies had “played a starring role in Panasonic’s success in the region”.

Recognition was provided to projects such as Mulberry Properties’ Straffan Manor Development in Kildare for Best Residential Project in the multi-dwelling category, which saw heat pumps and PV panels installed by Mick O’Shea Heating and Plumbing, with products supplied by Heat Merchants.

FWP UK won the Best Restaurant Project award for its work with Carluccio’s Italian restaurant chain, working with distributor Oceanair.

PRO partner Tech Refrigeration and Air Conditioning also won a special award for three “outstanding entries” for the Commercial Air Conditioning category.

The Best Residential Project award in the social housing category was given to Ecosphere Renewables for its Wealden District project in South East England, which included the installation of heat pumps and educating the wider community about the benefits.

“I’m so pleased that we were able to celebrate with our local winners of the PRO Awards 2015 at the K Club,” said Panasonic UK & Ireland country manager Marc Diaz.

“Our party was able to experience 18 holes on the Arnold Palmer course – and what an experience it was – and then relax in the clubhouse afterwards while toasting the winners and their achievements.”
