Investment company buys £54m of solar PV projects

Bluefield Solar Income Fund, a Guernsey-registered investment company, has signed binding contracts to buy three UK solar PV projects, reNews has reported.

The £54m deal covers a 6.5MW plant in Somerset, a 12.5MW site in Wiltshire and a 29MW facility in Oxfordshire.

The trio is expected to qualify under the 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificate regime and the acquisitions are the 26th, 27th and 28th made by the company.

They will be funded from the £131m raised under the placing that closed in November 2014.
