Installers urged to consider latest lightning protection guidance

Internationally accepted standard on lightning protection IEC 62305 Parts 1-4 has recently undergone a technical review.

As a result, a new and revised Edition 3 is now out for public comment. IEC 62305 covers four distinct areas: general principles, risk management, physical damage to structures and electronic systems protection.

All parts need to be taken into consideration by designers and installers of lightening protection systems in order to ensure that electrical and electronic systems in buildings and structures are well protected.

Copies of the draft new edition can be found in the BSI Shop.
