Complete Plumbing Services plans to open its new premises in the centre of Oxted, Surrey, on 29 March.
The town centre location has been chosen to attract local residents to visit, where they will receive information about renewable technologies, among other aspects of the company’s services.
With the need for information on sustainability growing in all areas, the CPS example could well be extended to other parts of the country as incentives become more widely publicised.
CPS managing director Simon Connolly told H&V News: “The shop, apart from being a base for the company, will be a one-stop shop for local residents to come in and learn about the latest in renewable technologies and how to make their properties more sustainable.
“Oxted is a very affluent area, featuring many detached properties that could benefit significantly from renewable technologies.
“We will also be aiming towards the smaller properties that may not be in a position to have such installations by selling the latest in LED lighting, saving them 90 per cent on their lighting bills for an initial outlay.”
Mr Connolly added that CPS has formed a strong relationship with Viessmann, resulting in the provision of an extra year’s warranty on the five-year offering for its domestic boiler range.
“I’m only 34, I’m one of the few people my age pushing their own new, young company in a strong direction,” said Mr Connolly.
“During a difficult economic climate I have taken the gamble to be a success, being the new kid on the block, and believe this is only possible if I am installing the quality products across the board.”
The company is Gas Safe registered and is in the process of gaining MCS accreditation for solar and heat pumps.
