Industry personnel involved in Worker of Year final

Two people from the building services sector have been named as finalists within the UK Worker of the Year 2014 initiative.

Heating and plumbing engineer Chris Teale from Barnet and project engineer Francis Williams, from Shropshire, have joined five others on the list.

Judging will take place on 26 September at the Suzuki GB headquarters in Milton Keynes to determine the winner.

Each finalist will be asked a series of questions by the panel of judges.

The winner will be presented with their prize at the Brands Hatch racing circuit in Kent on 18 October, choosing either a Suzuki S-Cross car, V-Strom 1000 motorcycle or an ATV quad bike.

There will also be the chance of winning a further £100,000 by predicting the outcome of one of the final races of the British Superbike finale.

Further to this, readers are also reminded that the H&V News Awards closes for entries in November this year, a month earlier than previous years.
