Industry marks World Plumbing Day

World Plumbing Day is celebrated on 11 March each year as a means of promoting the role played by the plumbing industry throughout the world.

Scottish Water water operations general manager John Rae said: “The supply of safe and wholesome drinking water is of paramount importance to Scottish Water and we support the aims and ambitions of World Plumbing Day.

“It is only right to record and support the important role that the plumbing industry, along with Scottish Water, plays in keeping us safe and healthy”.

SNIPEF chief executive Robert Burgon added: “On World Plumbing Day, please take a moment to think about the critical role played by SNIPEF, its members and others aiming to promote excellence in the plumbing industry and consider what life might be like if we did not enjoy access to the professional plumbing facilities which are widely available to us.”
