H&V News magazine welcomes in 2018 with a focus on several pieces of proposed legislation set to be introduced to parliament during January that could significantly impact building services in a year of major change

January’s issue of H&V News looks at some of the early fallout from how the 2017 Autumn Budget is expected to impact major industry concerns around addressing apprenticeship numbers and fuel poverty over the year ahead.

The magazine focuses on aims to push new legislation into parliament during January to bring drastic changes to existing requirements around cash retentions and how carbon monoxide alarms should be fitted.

The issue also looks at how blockchain technology, which underpins digital currency initiatives such as Bitcoin, may dramatically change the decision-making process behind building service functions, as well as how they can be paid for.
