H&V News January digital issue is online now

The first H&V News of 2020 carries a look at some of the key industry priorities for the year ahead with a new government now in place

The January edition of H&V News can now be read online with a look at the key aspirations of the HVAC sector over the coming year.

A range of industry bodies have identified several priority areas they believe are in need of significant reform. These priorities include finalising ongoing efforts to revise the Buildings Regulations in line with recommendations raised in a major review of standards published in 2018, as well as gaining clarity over the future of financial incentives to support the decarbonisation of homes. Bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) have said that new approaches to education and training heating specialists were also long overdue to ensure industry is sufficiently skilled to meet a wide variety of technical challenges in curbing carbon emissions from heat.

We also include a breakdown of major new projects and product launches in the heating sector, such as the latest developments around hydrogen boilers.
