H&V News Awards judge nominated for tradesperson of the year

A 2016 H&V News Awards judge has been shortlisted as the tradesperson of the year at this year’s Nectar Small Business Awards.

Lewis Howard, director at C&J Heating and Plumbing based in Stevenage, is the only Gas Engineer in the final.

The winner, to be announced next month, will win a cash prize, business promotion and also go on to attend a round table event with Dragon’s Den star Sarah Willingham.

Mr Howard said: “We are working hard to change the industry by offering a different way of doing business, an improved customer experience and the use of ground breaking ideas such as smart technology. Many people perceive that the plumbing and heating industry is something which is stuck in the past and I am proud that we are showing them that is not the case.”

Mr Howard has also been asked to sit on the British Standards Institute’s committee for domestic boilers in the UK and has been appointed to the Eastern Counties Board of the Federation of Master Builders.
